It’s a happy, happy 5th Anniversary for MADE By, the independent consumer label for fashion brands. And what better way to celebrate than by whipping out your crayons, pencils, pixels and cute as a button er, buttons for a spot of designing? Ohhh yes siree, its competition time! And this time it’s sponsored by ethically-fabulous EDUN LIVE, sister brand of EDUN Apparel (yes, the Ali Hewson/Bono one).
So, now’s your chance to create a brand new sustainability-themed T-Shirt for EDUN LIVE. The lucky winner gets $250 worth of Edun vouchers a trip to Amsterdam where the prizes will be presented. And even more exciting is that the winning design will be sold with profits going towards the Conservation Cotton Initiative.
The message is clear, its time to raise awareness amongst fashion brands and young designers about sustainable fashion. And we’re all for supporting anyone who is out there flying the flag for supply chain transparency in the fashion world. “As the consumer becomes more aware of the social and environmental issues involved in the fashion industry, brands are having to address their supply chains to accommodate these expectations. Young designers are the future of our industry and it is important to engage the next generation” says Allanna McAspurn – UK General Manager of MADE-BY.
Upload the design and then the public get to choose a la Strictly Come Dancing. Whichever one gets the most votes gets to be judged by a star spangled troop; Harry Potter’s Bonnie Wright and Georgia Groome as well as Ali Hewson and US eco-model Summer Rayne Oakes
Head to wwww.edun-live.com to upload your design and hey, who knows, we could all be wearing your t-shirt next year.
Hmm time to get doodling….
