Woo-hoo! You're getting married. So belt up fast you little love muffin, because this is going to be one hell of a rollercoaster ride of emotions. From popping the question (elation), to stag-do shenanigans (horror), to organising the ultimate wedding (aghhh!) - we're guessing you could do with a few super-stylish contacts to make you and your big day sparkle.
THE CAKE
These stunners from Miasie Fantaisie are so beautifully designed, they run the risk of outshining you on your big day, so beware! (Ingredients are mainly organic and free-range but can vary if not specifically requested.)
Chocolate-addicted brides can ditch the traditional fruit cake in favour of a Gateaux D'amour organic chocolate wedding cake. £180 for 50 people. Contact Anthony Heurtier 07966 476 184.
Another goodie for chocoholics is The Organic Chocolate Cake Company who are Soil Association certified.
If you're getting hitched in NYC then the lovely organic Pastry Princess will go the extra mile and even cater for those of you who prefer wheat free, dairy free or vegan cakes.
THE DRESS
Ah yes, the dress. The item of clothing that you've been dreaming of ever since you thought you would grow up to be a fairy princess!
Budget babes and recyclistas will love The Dress Market as it sells once worn designer bridal dresses at bargain prices from Augusta Jones to Vera Wang. Prices from £250 to £10,000.
Want brand new but environmentally-friendly? Gaia House sell gorgeous ready to wear dresses (from £600) and bespoke gowns (from £1,500) made from organic silks and Peace Silks (when the silk worms/larvae aren't killed to extract the silk).
Retro lovers should hop on to Posh Girl Vintage for the chicest wedding dresses from last century. Virtually every one is a beauty so you'll have to be quick off the mark!
THE RING
Still in search of the perfect swoon-inducing sparkler? Fifi Bijoux's VIP Couture Service only source diamonds, stones, gold and platinum from specific ethical and eco mining projects. Bespoke engagement rings from £1,500.
Miners often use highly poisonous cyanide and mercury to separate gold from rock - which is obviously not great for the environment (or the miners!) so another hottie to look out for is Katharine E Hamnett's green gold. Her collaboration with ethical jewellers Cred has resulted in a sleek new range of engagement and wedding rings using only diamonds certified for ethicality by the Canadian Government. Gold is certified by IIAP and mined using ancient techniques - they even re-forest the land after extraction and it's all fairtrade! Prices £400-£9,450.
For old school romance, head to Gray's Antiques which is currently selling a stunning selection of pre-loved art deco diamond and platinum rings.
THE INVITES
Only want fairtrade? recycled? handmade in India? Look no further than Vinati's Paper's bespoke wedding invitations which are a blend of recycled cotton and paper, as well as sustainable fibres such as jute, petals and herbs. These silk screen printed invites are priced at £100 for 50.
Whimsical wedding invitations by Irish design company BagLady Designs are made from recycled paper with eco-printed illustrations and even come protected in biodegradeable cellulose wrap. 125Euros for 50 invites.
An increasingly popular choice with US brides is Oblation Papers who hand-make acid-free, tree-free paper out of cotton remnants from the fashion industry. The paper is then transformed into invites and printed using antique presses. Divine!
