London College of Fashion goes eco-chic next week as they ask the question on everyone's lips: 'is green the new black?'.
Their exciting week of sustainable events kicks off on Monday 30th April '07 with guests including StyleWillSaveUs' very own Virginia Rowe, Terra Plana's Galahad Clark, Jo Wood and The Ethical Fashion Forum. Other highlights include The Big Green Debate chaired by fashion journalist Caryn Franklin, the Eco Design Fair and a swap shop party by Feather Duster..

An opportunity to hear from those making their way in the world of sustainable, ethical and socially conscious fashion and ask your own burning questions through challenging and inspiring workshops.
You'll also have the chance to meet Virginia Rowe from the brilliant online magazine StyleWillSaveUs.com.
Session 1, 09.30 - 13.00: Is Green the New Black?
Speakers and panel discussions introduced by Head of College Dr Frances Corner.
Confirmed speakers include: Global Mamas - Hear how London designers Choolips and Julia Smith, and a co-op in Ghana wound up in store at Topshop. Galahad Clark, Terra Plana - How eco-friendly design is making great strides in the footwear world. Jo Wood Organic Cosmetics - This legendary rock star wife speaks about how going organic has changed her life. Environmental Justice Foundation - See their pioneering short film White Gold and learn the true cost of cotton production.

Your chance to see our exciting exhibition showcasing ethical and sustainable fashion products and their unique journeys. You'll also have the opportunity to register your own thoughts and feelings.
Refreshments will be generously provided by Puro fair trade coffee.

Clothes Swap with Feather Duster
Open to all, free of charge, No booking required
Get a new wardrobe and a clear conscience without spending a penny! Those lovely ladies at Hybird will be bringing their exclusive Feather Duster clothes swap event to LCF. We'll have live music, fitting rooms and styling competitions to keep us all happy!
To ensure a successful event please don't bring things you can't wear, or any old pants. Definitely bring items you would like to add some sparkle to or learn how to alter! All left over items will be donated to Traid.
