Stir It Up

Wine, wine, wine - we love it! But sometimes a change is as good as a holiday, which is why we're hitting the cocktails! Oh yes, we've been honing our skills, shaking our booties and stirring it up - no more do our party guests get a refined glass of chablis - we've gone all Marbella! Well, maybe not quite - we drew the line at blue mixers and paper umbrellas.

But if you're getting jealous of our new-found drinking fun (don't try to deny it!), then here's our collection of easy peasy classic cocktails, guaranteed to add more pizzazz to your house party.

CRANBERRY COOLER

1 shot Snow Queen Organic Vodka
1 shot Amaretto
3 shots organic cranberry juice
2 shots organic orange juice
Squeeze of lime to garnish

Add all ingredients into your glass over ice, stir, garnish with a slice of lime and serve.

MOSCOW MULE

2 shots Snow Queen Organic Vodka
1 shot organic lime juice
Top up with organic ginger beer
Sprig of organic mint

Add all ingredients into a tall glass over ice, stir and serve with a squeeze and garnish of lime wedge and mint leaf.

WHITE RUSSIAN

A delicious creamy cocktail indulgence for after dinner

30 ml Kahlua or Tia Maria (coffee liqueur)
30 ml Snow Queen Organic Vodka
120 ml organic milk

Pour the Kahlua and Snow Queen Organic Vodka into your glass over ice cubes, add milk, stir well and serve.

BLOODY MARY

The ultimate hair of the dog!

25mls Snow Queen Organic Vodka
75mls organic tomato juice
Juice only of half an organic lemon
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Black pepper
3 drops Tabasco sauce
Half teaspoon of Horse Radish (optional)
1 lime wedge
Celery Salt for the rim of glass (or pinch of normal salt in drink)

Rim glass with celery salt. Shake or stir well all ingredients (except lime wedge) with ice and strain into an old-fashioned glass over ice cubes. Add pepper to taste, squeeze the wedge of lime and serve.

AMARETTO SOUR

60 ml Amaretto (almond liqueur)
Juice of one organic lemon
½ teaspoon fair-trade sugar
Lemon slice
Maraschino cherry

Add the Amaretto and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker with cracked ice. Shake and strain into a class (rimmed with lemon juice and dipped in sugar) and garnish with a slice of lemon and cherry.

SEABREAZE

2 shots Snow Queen Organic Vodka
4 shots organic cranberry juice
2 shots organic grapefruit juice

Add all ingredients into the glass over ice, give it a short gentle stir, squeeze the lime wedge into the drink and serve.

GODFATHER

45 ml organic whiskey
15 ml organic amaretto

Pour ingredients into glass over ice cubes, still well and serve.
