<description>We love, love, love this cool solid silver 'wolf' necklace by Oria!
Their new ethical jewellery range is based on endangered birds, blossoms, owls, lions and wolves - with 10% of their profits going to the IUCN Red List who work to conserve and protect these species.
And what's more, they're all made from Fair Trade silver purchased from artisan miners in Bolivia, who employ methods that shun the use of cyanide and mercury for extraction. Nice one guys.

<description>Hurray! Julia Smith's fairtrade sundresses land in Topshop's flagship store in Oxford Circus this week.
The capsule collection of sweet summer frocks are produced in Gahna by a woman's co-operative which offers employment to African women and sponsors disadvantaged children, providing them with the opportunity to attend school.
Style with substance, just the way we like it.

The most scrumptious package arrived at SWSU HQ this morning from Rococo, our favourite purvayors of fine chocolates. 8 Organic Mini Bee Bars where bound together with coloured ribbon to make up a gift set comprising a bevvy of tasty flavours...
The best? Ooh it's hard to say but the Organic Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt was pretty damn good, as was the Cardamom Organic White Chocolate and the Rose Organic Milk Chocolate.
Overall verdict: delish!</description>

         <link>http://www.stylewillsaveus.com/blog.php?id=76</link>
<description>Bubbling to the TOP of the recessionista&amp;rsquo;s favourite SHOP this week is Bibico.
Yep, this cute little ethical label run by Spanish senorita Nieves Ruiz, was so popular during its trial at Fairtrade Fortnight that it&amp;rsquo;s just been given a permanent concession at Topshop&amp;rsquo;s flagship store in Oxford Circus.
Each piece is hand-created by nimble-fingered women in fair-trade co-operatives in Mumbia, working together to create Nieves&amp;rsquo; vision. And she loves that we love it, recently enthusing that &quot;work has already begun on the next collection and it gives us the greatest sense of achievement to know that my friends back in India have a brighter future to look forward to.&amp;rdquo;

Not so for 12 Degrees, the new ethical fashion pop-up store launching this week at Eco Age in Chiswick: 12 Degrees will be popping up not once, not twice but 12 times!&amp;nbsp; Once a month for a year, in fact.
A collaboration between The Guardian &amp;amp; Observer's green guru Lucy Seigle, Eco Age's Livia Firth, ethical fashion designer Orsola De Castro and stylist Jocelyn Whipple, each one will have a different ethical fashion theme and offer everything from the perfect eco party dresses to sewing with pineapple fibres workshops.

<description>After 10 years of praying for an all-singing, all-dancing eco-friendly convent, the Espiscopal Sisters of the Community of the Holy Spirit in New York are finally getting one!
Yup, the girls have just commissioned the first eco-convent to be designed by BKSK Architects which is starting construction in Harlem next month. The snazzy nunnery will feature rooftop kitchen gardens, water heated by solar power, rainwater collection and environmentally-sensitive building materials.
Adding to their already green habits (sorry!) of composting, recycling, eating organically and using energy-saving light bulbs, these sustainable sisters are really paving the way...
BKSK Architects have just started talks about an NYC eco-synagogue too!

The Organic Nourishing Treatment Oil (&amp;pound;58) is a super-duper multi-purpose product, dubbed the &amp;lsquo;miracle in a bottle&amp;rsquo;. Made from Virgin cold pressed organic oils, this heavenly smelling oil may be used as a hair and scalp treatment, or simply massaged into skin after bathing for a quick-fix luxury treatment to soothe dry skin. Plus this versatile oil can also be applied to the face after cleansing for an instant lift &amp;ndash; skin instantly feels luxuriously nourished and pampered.
The Organic Replenishing Serum (&amp;pound;37), another multi-purpose wonder product, is an astringent, skin balancer, toner and anti-inflammatory all-in-one. Packed with key ingredients like Aloe Vera gel, witch hazel, and flower extracts, it has a feather light texture and is also rather fabulous as a moisturiser for oily skin types. It&amp;rsquo;s refreshing, smells heavenly, and gets skin glowing without being greasy. Just what the doctor ordered!

         <link>http://www.stylewillsaveus.com/blog.php?id=50</link>
<description>Let's face it, January is a reeeeeeaaal bore!
Everyone's either skint, on a diet or in hibernation. Well, not us. We'll be getting nimble fingered over a glass of wine at one of MakeLounge's freakishly fun crafty happenings in Islington.
Yes, it might sound just a tad 'knit-your-own-museli' but hey, what better time to indulge your inner geek, especially when you get to leave with your own selection of saucy knickers / scented candles / decoupage platter - made by your own fair hand?
